over 6 years ago – Mon, Aug 21, 2017 at 01:13:18 AM

To all our extraordinary backers,

Thank you so much for your love and patience.

Our Art team has been working very hard on making sure that we release a manual that is worthy of the gorgeous game we are building. They wanted it to be a special treat in and of itself.

Here is the first draft of the Tournament Rules for Avertigos Skirmishes. We have chosen to share a High definition version of this document so that you can discover all the careful and minute details.

Unveiling the Strategy mode and news about the manual!
over 6 years ago – Sun, Aug 20, 2017 at 10:12:49 AM

Dear Backers, Thank you for all the support and most of all patience.  The time has come for us to start showing you the strategy mode. We planned these reveals in waves to keep the campaign fresh and prevent information overload.

We have been hard at work to present all the depth and richness of this game with the loving and careful treatment it deserves.

Here is Alex with a little instructional video about setting up the Strategy mode. We will be following this on Tuesday (22nd August) with a full video about how to play strategy.

We are also going to follow that with a fully illustrated Skirmish manual (The designers have done our bit and now our artists have been hard at work on it) followed by the Strategy addendum.

Enjoy the video and please post your questions and observations in the comments. Feel free to message me at any time (I keep Singapore time but try to respond in 3 to 4 hours maximum to all messages)

A long time ago

When the voyager Zheng He returned to the Imperial Court, the Hong Xi Emperor feted him for this travels and the knowledge he uncovered, and appointed him Grand Architect of the Imperial Naval Expansion and Exploration effort. This led to an age where the Chinese fleet dominated waterways and trade, opening up the world and cementing Asia as a formidable place during the age of sail.

As time went on, the merchant and military families grew stronger, gaining more influence within the Imperial court, competing with each other for power. When the Emperor eventually passed on, the families waged a shadow war for control, manouevering for power through character - and actual - assassination. In the end, to prevent trade from being affected, the top ranking clans of both sides agreed to form a council, composed of half of each group. Thus, the Dyansty was born.
