Lucky winners, Strategising with our backers, and the next hero joins the roster!
over 6 years ago – Wed, Sep 13, 2017 at 11:41:26 PM

Hello everyone! It's been quite a weekend, between STGCC and the end of the writing competition, and we have exciting news!

First up, winners!

We had a competition at STGCC, which was won by Andrew! You can see how he ended the game along with the final pilot board layouts on our FB page. For his masterful handling of the airships, he has won himself an Avertigos Base game. Congratulations Andrew!

Our writing competition also ended over the weekend, and out of many wonderful entries, we have three winners - Robert Lewis, Haley Pang and Della Aslam! You've each won a signed poster of your choice and a Duelling Kit!  As our overall champion, we're going to share Robert's masterpiece in a special update for everyone to appreciate.

Strategy Gameplay video

The night before STGCC, we were very lucky to have some of our backers come by our office and play the game -  Maxim De Wit, Backer #110, from the Netherlands; Alan Yee, Backer #222, from Malaysia; and Gennadii Potapov, Backer #421, from Russia. They got to try their hand at both Skirmish and Strategy mode, and helped us make a video to reveal Strategy Mode. Here's the game we played!

The next hero!

Finally, announcing the latest hero to be added to the game, the Nimn Thugee!

A deadly assassin, he'll make capturing islands that much easier as he stalks your enemies and removes their troops one at a time. All he needs is a silk handkerchief - of the best quality, of course.

And now we're charging on to our next hero, the Kashan Drung! A seasoned navigator, her mastery of the skies allows pilots to determine their vector with any card, even if it doesn't have a prow.

Spread the good news! Share this with everyone, and get them to share it too!

Gamersaurus Rex x Avertigos
over 6 years ago – Mon, Sep 11, 2017 at 12:01:01 AM

The 10th Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) came to a close last night and the show was a huge success. Throughout the two days we had many Singaporeans come and experience Avertigos South China Sky.

As you may have noticed, the pledged amount had a big jump last night. That was the approach of something epic!

Gamersaurus Rex backed Avertigos South China Sky!

A huge thank you to Nicholas Wong and his amazing team at Gamersaurus Rex! Thank you so much for believing in us and committing to support creative work here in Singapore!

For those of you who are outside of Singapore - Gamersaurus Rex is a tabletop purist's passion and a newbie's dream come true. A full service FLGS and Gaming Events venue specializing in Board Games, Card Games and Miniature Wargames.

At STGCC 2017 their booth and play area was constantly flooded with gamers, painters, enthusiasts, fans and to-be fans. People were there to experience the hobby, stack up on gaming supplies, meetup with fellow hobbyists and also to learn about the hottest new games.

These guys are LEGIT, they play, promote and teach games, miniature painting, diorama creation and everything else that makes this hobby great.

It is both amazing and inspiring for us that they took time from their thronging booth to come over and experience Avertigos South China Sky. Their backing is a huge endorsement for us and one we will proudly wear as a badge of achievement.

This is the start of something incredible and we look forward to taking their advise on the game, painting the miniatures, the hobby, tournaments and more.

Thank you again for all your love and support!

Regards

Exhilarating Night, STGCC and Community outreach
over 6 years ago – Sat, Sep 09, 2017 at 12:45:25 AM

It's 6.15 am in Singapore and I am about to go to bed for a quick 2 hour shut eye before leaving for STGCC 2017 setup. This has been an utterly amazing night, that I am very eager to share with this community (I would like to do that via a detailed (media rich) update so it may take some time).

Depending on the internet availability at the convention and the traffic at the booths, I may be less prompt than usual in responding to your comments and messages. I will try and keep everyone regularly posted on what's happening at the show on our:

Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/avertigos/

and

Twitter account https://twitter.com/avertigos_game

We are going to STGCC with a hope to galvanise the Singapore Gamer and Enthusiast community for our campaign.

We will make efforts to put the relevant links in all our posts on both channels. Both our channels are public, so those of you who avoid using social media can still follow the updates. You know who you are; Yes I am looking at you ಠ.ಠ

We are very close to attaining still more of our Community Achievements and Social Goals, so please continue to help us to spread the word by sharing and retweeting whatever you find curious/exciting/unusual/cute/fun/impressive/emotional/humorous or in any other way interesting.

P.S. Breaking the usual flow  of the updates (Sorry Ian!). I wanted to leave you with, at least some, eye candy for taking the time to read this update. So here are two spoiler images (Sorry Sean!) from my upcoming update about the evolution of the Avertigos' that Alex helped me take today (Sorry Alex!).

Finishing the Destroyer (or is it beginning?)

That was it. I don't have another witty caption. So I'll just use a text emoji I found on the internet. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thank you once again for all your amazing support and love. You make everything worthwhile. I have cried more tears of joy in this campaign than I have ever in the rest of my life. (I'll stop rambling; stop!)

Love

Another Achievement, STGCC 2017 Prep and FLGS
over 6 years ago – Wed, Sep 06, 2017 at 11:14:30 PM

The Community Achievements are off to a flying start. It gives me great pleasure to update here that, we’ve attained the goal for our second Community Achievement!

Thanks to your very successful efforts, the “Kale Tinker” Hero Card will now be added to all the Game sets.

Any ship with this Mercenary hero can stay more active than its rivals. When the Kale Tinker's various jury rigs work, he can conjure some very unlikely tactical possibilities for his crew.

Your efforts have helped us generate a lot of interest for our campaign and for this we are truly grateful.

Our next Hero Card unlocks at 400 Retweets and 400 Shares [ Continue sharing this campaign page on Facebook and retweeting and mentioning @avertigos_game].

We are preparing for the STGCC 2017

Preparations have been ongoing for the upcoming STGCC show in Singapore and our studio has been abuzz with a lot of very varied kinds of activity. Aside from the pre-scheduled campaign content creation and outreach we have been working on some cool surprises for the show.

We hope that STGCC will help us galvanise more of the local gaming community to get behind this campaign. Singapore is one of the cities, with the largest population of active Kickstarter backers, in the world.

Here is a quick behind the scenes collage I've thrown together.

The incredible Alex Rex will be attending the convention with his very formidable arsenal of photography and videography apparatus and we will post his work to our socials and in an update to keep everyone here in the know.

Reaching out to FLGS

As part of this campaign we have been canvassing FLG stores all over the world to back us. We have a specific Retailer Pledge Level.

The Friendly Local Game Store is an integral institution in any neighbourhood as they are the nucleus around which a healthy local gaming community can form. They help spread awareness about new games, offer friendly and sage advice and can be a great place to meet like minded people and join local gaming groups. I'd also like to thank our early-adopter game retailers for their continued support.

Help us out by approaching your FLGS and informing them about our campaign and its Retailer Reward tier. Your enthusiasm will convince them to consider Avertigos like nothing we could do or say.

Warmest Regards

Sid
